Electronics Recycling Solutions

AERC Recycling Solutions offers complete computer and electronics recycling services with a Zero-Waste-to-Landfill policy. We offer compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as secure data destruction for your electronic data storage. We provide an array of services including Secure Data Destruction and Management, Total Asset Management, and End-of-Life Electronics Management.

AERC owns and operates four wholly owned electronics processing facilities in four separate geographic locations. Each of these facilities has the distinct industry designation of being an R2/RIOS Certified Electronics Recycler™ facility and has been independently certified to these industry designations. These Certified Electronics Recycler™ facilities are in Allentown, PA, Ashland, VA, Hayward, CA, & West Melbourne, FL.

Obsolete Equipment contains both valuable and environmentally dangerous components. Our refurbishment process recovers the latest models for reuse in new markets after system testing and destruction of all sensitive property. Demanufacturing allows the extraction of both reusable and hazardous components.

Ballast Recycling

Fluorescent light ballasts manufactured before 1978 contain insulating compounds known as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). PCBs are known to cause considerable environmental risk.

Battery Recycling

Battery recycling protects our environment from heavy metal contamination. Commercial businesses, institutions, and households rely on our comprehensive battery sorting and recycling service.

Mercury Devices and Compounds

AERC provides a safe, economical, and environmentally responsible outlet for the disposal of mercury and mercury-containing instruments.

Electronics

CRTs and other electronic equipment can contain high levels of leachable lead and other heavy metals, including mercury and cadmium, as well as phosphorus and PCBs. Millions of dollars are lost each year by not recycling electronic and computer components. 20% of electronic equipment can be reused and 80% can be properly recycled. It takes several thousand years for a monitor to decompose in a landfill.

ESCO and Lighting Industry

AERC offers nationwide recycling services for Lighting Retrofit Projects. We provide "Turnkey" solutions for Fluorescent Lamp and Ballast recycling. AERC will properly manage the Environmental Risk associated with transporting and recycling these Hazardous Materials from your customers' sites.

Healthcare Industry

AERC is a full-service mercury recycling company committed to developing and utilizing the recycling technologies of the future. Following the edict of the EPA and AHA, AERC has joined forces with several hospitals to establish guidelines for the economical, safe, and environmentally sound reduction of mercury and mercury-containing devices within the healthcare industry.

Lamps - Fluorescent & HIDs

AERC offers recycling technology that separates mercury-containing lamps into their main components, recovers the mercury, and recycles 100 percent of the end products.

Mercury Spill Kits

Any accidental release of elemental mercury in the workplace is a serious health and environmental concern. Mercury and mercury vapors are toxic and spill areas require immediate attention and clean up.

AERC Recycling Solutions has been selected as a preferred vendor in the State of California Department of General Services (Master Services Agreement #55809). In achieving this status, AERC has demonstrated successful completion of all qualifications and requirements to provide State of California Departments, organizations, and state-funded agencies with recycling services for electronics, fluorescent lamps, batteries and ballasts.
